I'm so jealous. I use to raise them as a kid and had so much fun collecting them and eggs out of the creek in my godmothers yard in Sacramento. Now I live in Montana and don't get to California during the breeding season.

That sucks, i used to do the same thing as a kid so you can imagine how stoked i was to find this little one. Just an update for you guy/girls this little one put down 6 F.F. yesterday i couldn't believe it.

I'm in Montana too and we have Western Toads here too!!! They are a different subspecies Bufo boreas boreas, but my big guy is so awesome and I catch dozens of them every time I go up to visit my family!

Weird! My toad is pretty big and fat so the first thing I thought of when I was trying to name him was Nevil's toad Trevor from Harry Potter. Haha
