Okay so I did the honey bath yesterday for about 15 mins and he looked like he perked up a bit. Set him in his tank and threw in 3 more crickets incase he felt like eating. When I woke up, I found him under the half log thing I got him (closer to the heat pad) just looking at me lol. Now, I fear that I'm not getting the right daytime temps. As I left for work, it was reading just over the 75 marker. So what's the next step if the pad isnt providing heat unless its just on that small area, heating bulb?

Edit: Also last night when I picked up the feeding container I had him in for a bit, there was poop stuck to the bottom of the container from when I had it in his tank on top of the substrate. So I mean, that has to be a good sign of him doing okay, right?

Its good by meaning that he isn't impacted. The honey bath also helps them poop.

Do you use any heat lamps? If not you need to get one. Fluker's Clamp Lamp with dimmer and a daylight basking bulb. From Exo Terra called Sun Glo and an infrare bulb for night. Make sure they are both 50 watts no higher. You must use these incandescent bulbs in combination with a lamp that has a dimmer switch. Buy a fake plant too for cover. Place the fake pland directly under where the beam of light shines on the soil.

Get his temps up and keep me posted.

Alright. I have the half log in there now for cover. Where I'll be positioning the light will be over that. That should be fine right? Going to take a lunch break right now and go get that light. The lighting I was using was a standard low watt light for day/night cycle mostly.

He needs shade. A fake plant with wide leaves to also shade his eyes. While he sleeps so it doesn't bug him too much. Plus I bet he will love to have it to burrow next to.

Alright I have fake plants left over from my red eye's old viv ok good news and maybe bad news? The infrared one they had a 50 watt and got it, the sun glo one only had 100 and 150... I got the 100 in hopes that I can just dim it down with my flukers dimming lamp. :/

That bad news for sure. You won't be able to use the 100 watt. It will cook your frog even with the dimmer. Also it will be too bright. The lamp can only handle up to 75 watts anyway so the lamp itself won't be able to handle the bulb.

When you take the 100 watt Exo Terra back look for a Zoo Med Basking Spotlight. Its the same as the Exo Terra just made by Zoo Med.

Boo ok well I can at least start off with the night bulb tonight and wake up early tomorrow and get the day bulb before I start their day cycle. Ok so I think I'm good for now. Thanks again so much for the knowledge. I'll update in a day or two and share whats going on with him.
