African Bullfrogs, Clawed Frogs, Salamanders, Newts, Bearded Dragons,
thanks for all the help ...
Almost boxy triangular head in first three pictures suggest it's a boy. But who knows I haven't kept pyxies for a few years now![]()
is it a boy or girl ?
The biggest factor will be size. If in the next few months, if the frog's growth explodes and reaches 6-7 inches, then it will be a male. If a female, the frog will grow another inch or two and stop. You'll just have to wait to find out. Something that might help us sex the frog would be to take a picture directly over the frog.

The 'sex' question comes up often, and at any juvenile size is a best guess. I am going to stick my neck out and say that it is a boy. I have been known to be wrong more than once. But here is my reasoning - overall back coloring, head looks wide, and the amount of orange at the shoulders.
We will need John to chime in with his thought. Which will be the opinion that counts. He has the eye to get it right.
well guys i think lily is a boy.. i herd a croak or two or some kind of fart anyway.
