    Default feeding feeders

I don't have anything to feed my crickets, super worms and dubia roaches with meat in it right now. all I have is frozen cutlets in my freezer but it contains salt in them...
if i feed them that chicken, will the salt cause the roaches to become unhealthy for my pixie frogs?
I have to wait until monday before i can get fish food or cricket feed or something like that with meat in it... I have a lot of fruit and veggies to feed them though.
I also have canned grasshoppers to feed my frogs, , so it's not a huge deal i guess, but i just realized i don't feed my feeders much meat and i was also wondering if i should be concerned about my frog's not getting the right nutrition because of that...

You don't have to feed your feeders anything with meat. That actually can be bad for your frog. Fruits, vegetables and grains will do just fine.

    +1 to that grif

I feed all of my feeders vegetarian diets, no need for any animal proteins.

The only feeders i know that require to eat meat are orange-head roaches, black soldier fly larvae and blue bottle fly larvae.

But like everyone said, a cereal/fruit/veggie based feed is normally suffice. If you want you could thaw your cutlet, wash it thoroughly under running water then slow boil it to remove the salt. You could also feed your canned hoppers to your other feeders since a great majority of frogs like it alive anyways

I've heard Blaberus giganteus enjoy some meat in their diet as well, as they largely feed on dead bats in the wild.

The feeders need to have protein in their diet which can be found in many foods including meat, nuts and grains.

Hello and welcome to FF! Crickets and Dubia roaches do not need any meat in their diet. Feed mine cherios cereal, romain lettuce, and carrots .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
