im making a custom backaround with tons of climbing space will that be good for a pair of dendrobate leucomelas?
Lynn gave you good advice in regards to your enclosure size. If a 12x12 in., my advice would be not to build a custom background that would further reduce the enclosure's footprint. Instead would get a nice branched piece of wood that reaches to top and locate that in center. Add vines with moss growing on them and fill up the enclosure with plants. If so desired you can add aquarium background paper to enclosure outside (clinging type works well). Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
