hi and thank u, I didn't think it was normal. the redness of its belly has always been like that. I do clean it regularly the cricket that was in the water wasn't dead it had jumped in the water a little while before I took the photo (5min or so). I'll do my best at answering the questions but I don't kno the answer to some of them
- Im not sure of the exact size of the encloser, the shop owner recommended it for 2 frogs.
- There is 2 frogs both of which are green tree frogs
- Im not sure what the humidity is of how to check it.
- The temperature sits between 20 and 30°c. that’s what the shop owner recommended
- I use fresh filtered water only in the water bowl, the guy I got them from never told me mist them, he’s never done for his frogs and their fine.
- I don’t kno
- I bought the enclosure fully set up, with large pebbles so that frogs cant eat them, a plastic water bowl, a climbing wall, heat lamp and a small but think branch with moss on it (he put in there so I guess its safe for them). Trevor cleaned and sterilised everything before placing them in the tank
- The main food source is crickets (that’s wat I was told to fed them)
- I was never told to give the frogs any kind of supplements. I got them almost a year ago and have only every given them crickets and they’ve been fine. Until now.
- They have a normal 50w heat lamp attached to the top of the enclosure which is covered by a cage. I turn the heat lamp off for 2-3 hours a day.
- The heat lamp is used to maintain heat. The temperature never goes passed 30
- The frog ate yesterday, it ate 3 medium crickets.
- Yes I have found poop, the tank is due for a clean, I clean it every 3-4 weeks like Trevor told me 2.
- Iv uploaded a picture in this comment
- The frog is almost a year old
- Iv owed it for almost a year now
- The frog is captive bought
- The only I feed the frogs are store bought crickets and I feed them every 2 days
- I frog isn’t handle much, because I don’t want it to absorb anything bad. But when I do handle it I always wash my hands with anti-bacterial hand wash, then dry them then wash my hands again to ensure I hve remover all germs, oils, soap ect and I make sure my hands are still wet when I pick them up
- The enclosure is kept in a low traffic area
- I change the water every 2 days, and clean the tank with plain filtered water every 3-4 weeks or earlier if its required. Although its due for a clean atm but I haven’t yet because I want to kno what wrong with the frog before I do.
Also the frog has not left the water since I first posted this.
