So after last night's dusting with night crawlers, he looks like Scarface's Tony Montana. Is it okay for some Ca powder to stay around his mouth or I should rinse it? I don't think he likes his vitamins

When it comes to their supplements they almost always don't like them, but they need them. Just like a child.

    Colleen/Jerrod,

How often should I wait before doing a honey bath? I have not found any feces in the last five days(going to six).

Okay, finally found a big surprise this morning. Took about a week!

So I have started feeding night crawlers for the past 5 days or so. I'm currently using tongs, any tips useful for tong training or it's just a matter of holding the food with them and get the frog used to it?

Also, Sometimes he eats 4 pieces, sometimes 3 sometimes 5. Is this normal? Tonight, he seemed hungry, as soon as he saw one piece of worm he launched like a torpedo, and flipped over hahahhaha; but then only ate 3 pieces with the last one being kinda forced because I annoyed him until he ate it( sat for about 20-25 mins there). I'm not sure if it's maybe because he is not used to the tongs yet, I just want to make sure I'm tong feeding the right way so it does not interrupt his eating pattern.

sounds great! but then it is ornate lol to be expected and you don't need to tong train as it eating from them already.

try to hold tongs the way it doesn't bite tongs, kinda on a angle with tips away from his mouth, it is in theory, but i very rarely manage to do that with my girl lol usually it is flight for the food across the tank the second the doors are open if she is hungry.

Hahaha! that ninja flip was priceless. I try to hold them sideways with the tips away from his mouth and do the zombie dance. Sometimes he catches faster than others, sometimes he misses. But is it normal they eat different amounts per day?\

Also for future reference, when I feed a pinky in the future, do you normally feed the next day or wait a couple days?

when they're the size that can have pinky after feeding it i usually try wait for 5-6-7 days and always mouse is been followed up with nightcrawlers for at least 2-3 feedings. having said that i never actually buy a mouse to feed to a frogs, if they happen to get it, it is usually if i have defrosted leftovers after feeding my snakes, say once Ruby got 2 hoppers per feeding, but then she got dieting to do lol
