I usually just treat a gallon of water at a time and use it for all my reptiles. It doesn't take long and it keeps me from worrying.
How much treatment do you use for only a gallon? The bottle says 2 tsp (10ml) for every 10 gallons. Is there such a thing as "too much" treatment? I made up about a gallon yesterday to keep on hand at room temp and I just kinda squirted 5ml into the jug. I'd hate to poison my frog by using too much treatment chemical.

I have used TetraFauna before. I would just add 3 to 4 drops. Its a concentrated agent so it doesn't need as much as say ReptiSafe, but I like Reptisafe much more because of the calcium and electrolyte content.

I dont know about the brand you're using, but I use Prime. It can be used at several times the recommended concentration without becoming harmful, so accidentally putting one too many drops in a gallon won't hurt anything. This is mostly for when it's being used in aquariums in case there's a major toxicity problem that needs to be taken care of immediately, but it gives you a nice buffer zone when you're using it to purify drinking water for your other reptiles. I imagine other brands might be similar in that aspect.

If I've added more, is that harmful to my frog? I added like a squirt or two to a gallon I made up last night. I just don't want to overdo it if it'll hurt him (it). Btw, my frog pooped!! Never in my life have I been so happy to see a turd. haha. I'm sure that he pooped anyway; it was dark brown and looked like a slug, but more the size of one of his sides. Found it when I swapped out his substrate. Maybe he just has some big bowl movements? He also weighs 19 grams; is that a good weight? I'll be posting pictures of my set-up later just to make sure I've got the essentials (and no moss). Thanks for your help again!
