Totally cool. I rarely see pacman frogs in the Petsmart stores her in Phoenix. Even reptile specialty stores rarely carry them.

Green Apple Pacs. are a Hybrid between a Green Cranwelli and Green Caatinga. Reduced pattern is one of the results of the two being bred together.

Yep just has some faded spotting on the sides of the belly, but has all the rest of the back pattern reduced.

Yep its a green apple. I hope you can grow it up. I really want to see some adults. I almost want to see what they would make with breeding caatinga to a samurai morph. Just have to raise up some strong caatingas.

I really hope I can pull the little guy through. So far the task is slow going which makes me feel frustrated and sad.

Actually this did not have a happy ending. Green Apples are unstable hybrids. There is nothing good about the paring. Sadly Malachite here didn't live past 4 months. He died of Liver Cancer. This is just one of many horror stories of a Green Apple Pacman that has died way before reaching adulthood. They just do not thrive and to think they are great even after hearing all the bad things kind of makes me believe you are ignoring the fact that they are basically running out of time the moment they leave the water.

    Its very sad.

Well grif. to be honest i am not ignoring the facts, just trying to be positive! Since i already own one, why not try my best to find as much information as possible? i don't think i am wrong for being excited, and yes i am aware of the problems but should i just give up? i understand your point, but i already bought mine before i joined the forum and was informed of the defects. i am not here to stir up trouble, i am just here to share my hobby/interest with like-minded individuals. i hope this clears up my intentions.

Alright then. Now that you know what you are in for just do what you can. Provide as much of a varied diet as possible. Multivitamin powder once per week and a calcium D3 powder every other day, but not on the same day as the multivitamin.

Get your hands on some Samurai Pacman Food and use it as a treat if you haven't got it already. Earthworms are the best food for them to eat and the Apple will begin to grow quickly on them.

Hopefully yours will be one of the survivers. It seems that the brown morph of the Apples fair better genetically, but are not entirely without issues. Hope your Green Apple Morph becomes one of the few.
