Thanks! I'll try the first one. The second one, Animalife, I took my gecko to & they couldn't find out what was wrong with her. They did a fecal exam & wormed her. She was wasting away (which is why I took her in) & ended up dying after all. They do a great job with my dogs though!!

First off you should never house frogs with lizards or even different species of frog wiith one another. That is a huge no. To help stop infection until you take him to the vet i put some neosporine on the wounds. Make sure its Original Neosporine without painkiller. The painkiller wil kill your frog. try the Neosporine to keep it fom getting worse until then.

I hope he recovers.

Yes, those injuries need to be treated quickly. You can use a small amount of NEOSPORIN with NO pain killer on the open wound areas but make sure the NEOSPORIN has NO pain killer in it. That is NO pain killer.

Hope the vet can provide some help and needed care.

You probably (and hopefully) figured this out, but adding a frog to an enclosure already housing one of the most territorial pet lizards there is, is just bad... And quite ignorant.
I do hope the veterinarian can help save the frog, and that he gets to live in a proper home from now on.

I know it was VERY ignorant & I DID know better -- BUT -- my knight anole grew up with a red-eyed tree frog in his viv which he NEVER EVER harasses so I thought it might be okay to add the tiger legged as well. Again, VERY DUMB on my part & now the tiger legged is paying for my stupidity & my heart is paying as well because I did this to him & he is suffering, totally breaks my heart & I want to try to make it right.

Thanks for the tips on Neosporin! I do not use Neosporin but bacatracin which has no numbing med in it so it should be okay to use on the little fella. I did know not to use numbing ointment on the frog because that is what they suggest to use to kill wild Cuban tree frogs that are invasive in my area. They are the only frogs I see on my house, no more native tree frogs because they eat them, as I'm sure you all know! I do really appreciate all tips though, please keep them coming! I'll keep you guys posted on what is going on. Going to call the vet today. Hope they can get me in!!

If I can't get in to the vet, I have a parrot breeder friend who keeps Baytril if any of her baby birds get an infection. How would I administer it to my little guy?

ENROFLOXACIN (BAYTRIL) Put 8 drops in 125ml Tepid water. Put a lid on the bowl and make sure the frogs’ head stays above the water. Duration: 15 min. each day for 6 days

Note that the mixture depends on size of frog and I don't have anything to state how much for what weight. I would cut the mixture to 6 drops per 125ml water.
