Default Re: New Frog Quarantaine time period?

You definately want to quarantine for 30-60 days. Sometimes longer depending on the size differences of the frogs. The reason we do this is..even though the frog may look perfectly fine the stress from going from a petstore or being shipped somtimes causes health issues to develop. If that happens the single frog can be treated or cared for in a simple environment. If he is in with other frogs and they become sick then you are treating a bunch of frogs. Look through the archives of people introducing a new frog only to infect the others a week or so later. Its better to be safe than sorry. Make sure he is eating and everthing looks good for a while then introduce him to his final home.
