Anyone know why his head is so pale in comparison to the rest of his body? He eats and behave just fine.
He's fine in this picture just depressing his eyes to help move nightcrawler down.
.
It looks like he might shed soon, which could be why he looks dull or his skin looks kind of leathery.
I honestly don't think you should worry about it. The frog looks super healthy. It could be to do with shedding as Demeter mentioned, but if it's a long term coloration then it's just the unique color scheme of your frog.

Thanks for comments.
He looked like this when I got him back in July.
Mine is the same way there's nothing wrong with your little guy. Just the way his colors are . Remember he will got thru so many metamorphosis until he stops growing.
Yeah, Grif's head is lighter like that too. My guess would be that it has to do with how they bury themselves and the soil. Alot of times, Grif will bury his body but have his head sticking out; the line between the dark and lighter skin is about where he burries to. Possibly the soil makes their skin look darker on their body or the body retaines more moisture because it stays out of the light? Anyway, I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.
Eal noob if you dont want him ,ill take him. lol![]()
I think he's a very nice looking Ornate. I love his color pattern.
