It is normal. I would use a lower wattage though. I currently use a 25w blue party bulb I picked up from Home Depot for $3 and it works great on keeping the temps up and I don't find it to be too bright.

You could try nightcrawlers or earthworms. My lamp is right on top of the tank but I have a plant underneath it so there is quite a bit of shade.

So no dice on the baby night crawlers tried feeding this morning and he took it and when i went back it to check up on him i guess he spit it out.... Tired again tonight an he wouldnt take I left 2 crickets in this morning and I noticed only 1 is left so im gonna assume he ate the other one so all he has eaten in 2 days is 1 large cricket it seems everyone talks about what amazing eaters these are but so far both of my pacmans didnt live up to that is there something im doing wrong here temp is around 78 in the humidity is near 65% im a little less scared with him one because he is much more active then my last (jumped around a lot when i opened up the tank last night) so idk i just dont want this one to die

Yea that could be it... I'm gonna take the pinkie outta the tank and in a few hours go get hime a newboarn pinkie much smaller and give it a try... only cuz this is the 1st time I have seen him that attracted to any food that fast he norm never goes after anything i put in the tank so I have to assume getting him a smaller one would be a good idea
