That is a pretty little frog! Did you start removing the legs of the crickets to slow them down? Has he pooped? Like it was said in an earlier post, he could have a bit of an impaction from the mealworms. I covered to top of my screen with glad press and seal to help keep the humidity in, it seems to crash fast with the a/c running. Good luck.

just an update on my pacman, i have yet to see him actually eat a cricket but i think he is, as they keep disappearing but it takes a couple of days. I dont know if thats the normal eating rate for them. I also dont know if he has pooped because i cant tell a difference between poop or the eco-earth, last time i picked up something that might have looked like some vowel but wasnt sure.
They look like dead long slugs in the ecoearth and they smell lol
My pacmans poop look like a little compacted chunk of eco earth, i can usually pic them out. He will do his business somewhere and then leave that spot :P
I will be adopting a green pacman in a month. I can't wait. I have 2 baby pacific chorus frogs and a tadpole. My tank is set up for the pacman next to the pacific tank. I have live plants in my tank, what kind of light is okay for the frog and the plants?
What I've been told to do about impaction is let the frog soak, maybe in another tank or plasticware, in luke warm water. It will help him pass whatever he needs to. My pacific's won't go unless they have their butts in the water, so I'm assuming from what a pac breeder told me that they can be the same way. I've also been told that moving him to a smaller tank just for feeding that has no substrate in it, but maybe a little water, is best because they ingest everything when they eat. They are supposed to be the gluttons of the frog world. It could be stress or the light, maybe he wants to eat with the light off. Since he's albino, he's more sensitive to it, it could be blinding him a bit. Turn it off and only have the room light on when you're feeding him after his soak. Treat the water too like you would for a fish tank.
I've read many controversial threads on whether or not to use a heating mat. I was told by a few people not to because they burrow to escape from the heat and that defeats the purpose of burrowing. Would a blue light work for both frog and plants?
Put down a layer of hydroballs, then put down the dirt. You can use a UTH then without worrying about your pacman burning himself.
Thanks, Do you have any suggestions? I have a 10gal with a regular hood for 15watt bulbs. Do you know of any lights that fit? I don't like albino anything really, it's a preference. Some are pretty, but they're so sensitive. I already have a sensitive (to food) Collie, one sensitive pet is enough.
I think I'll hold off on the heat pad for now since it's summer and my room gets pretty hot. I've had to turn off all the heaters in my tanks because they were getting too warm ><
The frog tanks are up on a shelf that is close to a window, not sunny one bit because of a forest out back, and near the baseboard heater. They aren't close enough for too much heat, but my room stays warm enough to heat the water. I like a warm environment myself, so I'm just worried about my plants getting enough light. Thanks^^
