Another Big Eye problem

That's the problem, he won't eat.
I've offered him crix and waxworms, the slow and the fast. Every time there is one by him or on hi m, he will turn away or flick it off his head.

I've tried putting pictures on before that will probably not happen. His cage is a hexagon from the petstore called,begginner reptile terrarium. its has a large bendy branch and plastic plants with some wood. It has a water dish and one inch of coco fiber.

Sounds like your frog is stressin' (take it to a vet for sure). If your frog is an adult or even a larger juvenile, then anything less than a 20 gallon terrarium is really small. Also I would ditch the fake plants for a bunch of live ones. The more plants the better, not only will they make your frog feel at home, but they also provide humidity and a place to hide out if they feel like it.

With live plants you will also need to change up your substrate. My standard substrate mixture is 2" of clay balls, another 2" of coco husk, and I usually cover the top with sphagnum moss, or some other type of moss to prevent the coco husk from sticking to the frogs.

Here is a pic of my terrarium setup for my 2 American Green Tree Frogs (aprox 23 gallons). This is the only terrarium in which I have fake foliage (I use it as extra cover because these frogs are really shy and almost always want to hide) Other than that I have 3 live plants on the ground level with their water dish, and two live plants on the upper level (one being a pothos that grows down to the lower level) as well as a patch of live moss.

That's the one, it was 10$ cheaper than the smallest exo terra so i got it.
What is wrong with it?
I'm saving up for some more plants and a waterfall, where do you get live plants and which ones are the best?

How big is your frog? 5 gallons is really too small for a tree frog (even my bumble bee waking toads are housed in a 10 gallon enclosure, and they are only the size of a penny.

Regardless of overall size tree frogs need vertical space to climb, in a 5 gallon terrarium the frog barely has room for one hop before he bumps into something.

If there are any legitimate pet stores in your area (not petco or petsmart) they will probably sell live plants.

Before you go spending money on plants or a water fall I would put it toward a new terrarium. I know it can get expensive but it is important to have a proper place for your tree frog to live, or you will not have much success, and its not fair to the frog.

To put things in perspective, my adult Whites Tree Frog came from Petco and I paid $20 for him. All in all I have spent a little over $300 on his enclosure. I'm not saying that you have to spend $300 to have a decent enclosure, but $100 sounds more like it.

If your frog does not make it I would make sure that you spend the time and the money to build a decent setup before you get another frog.

As harsh as it may sound, if you are unable to provide for the needs of the animal then you shouldn't have it in the first place.
