Hello, I am wondering if I could get some insight in what could possibly be going on with my tree frog.
I have a male and female who live together, and have been together for a little over a year. Just recently I discovered this lump on the backside of my female. It is soft and has no hard mass when I touch it, and doesn't seem the bother the frog when touched. Her behavior has not changed either.
I have researched a little about it, and came up with parasites, cysts, abysses, but none of the pictures posted really look like hers, so I am wondering if anyone here could shed some light on what this could be.
Their tank stays clean, and she doesn't appear to have injured herself in anyway. I was planning on taking her to a vet if I didn't see a change, but I would love if I was missing something, and could help her myself.
any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like an abscess I'd go to the vet. Could it be cricket bites?

I imagine it could be a cricket bite? They have crickets weekly.
Would a bite cause something like this?
Hi I know this is an older thread but my frog has something similar on her head, did you find out what it was?
Hi there, yes we took her to a vet when she developed a prolapsed rectum. We were told that it was caused by just a freak occurrence, and she did not anticipate it happening again (Hopefully!) Our vet told us that that the lump was not harmful to her, and to this day she still have a lump on her backside that changes sizes quit often. But our vet wasn't worried about it, and she seems happy and healthy and eats like a champ.
I would be a little concerned about it being on the head. I would definitely get her to see a vet, exams aren't very expensive. Best of luck to you!
