Do firebelly toads make noise?
I know nothing about these frogs.

The males will bark or croak. Usually this is to attract a female. Mine will bark late at night, but sometimes during the day too. Also when the dominant male is re-asserting his position, the FBT he is dominating will make a warbley sound to show their submission.
I only have males, so I can't say if the females make some sounds at times.

Yes, it all depends on how many males you have and your lighting schedule.
My males usually croak around noon, stop and start around 8 or 9 right after I turn their UVB off then sing me a song through the night, they usually croak all day if its storming outside.
Like Pivet stated before, they usually do at random times to re-assert dominance, usually the largest will do this. It sounds like a fast pased croaking mixed in with the dominant males croaking.
If computers have no doors or fences, who needs Windows and Gates?
How loud is it? Is there anything you can compare the volume to? Can you hear it throughout the house or only in the room?

I agree with Marinecrab. You'll know it if they are barking. If you are a light sleeper, they'll annoy you even if they are a couple rooms away in a quiet house.

To go a little further on the OP's question..... If the FBT's have not made any vocal sounds, then they might all be female or they are still juveniles. Though I've never seen anything that says juveniles don't bark.

Yes! They are loud!! I had mine in my bedroom for a short time. Now they are in the next room but are still loud. Usually right before bed after their lights go out, 5 in the morning, and other random times
They're so cute though!!

I have had four for a month and haven't heard a peep outta them yet. At least one is built like a male. Probably still too young. They are in my kitchen where I spend most of my time and I'm virtually always at home. Not a sound ...
