    That is exactly one of the reasons pacman frogs shouldn't be kept on sponges. Switch to more natural substrate, fine coconut fiber would be your best bet
    Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

    I don't think it's anything serious, yet, just irritation. It should go away when you switch to soft substrate. I suggest you watch it if no better within a few days or if getting worse, treatment will be needed. Let me know and good luck!
