Tons of mushrooms!!!

I really like Genesis Exotics springtails and have also purchased from joshsfrogs. Both also sell springtail food. Springs will eat any decaying matter. They will nibble on the aging leaf litter. They also like watermelon rinds, but be carful to rinse them with distilled or dechlorinated water first. I've in the past even fed moldy bread pieces.

Thank you! Would you recommend waiting on the moss change to add in the springtails? Maybe I'll just order some now.

Here are a couple pictures of the tank & the mold & mushrooms.

The mold, the little white specks, is a bit hard to see in the picture, but there's quite a bit of it. And I believe the little orange things are small fungi (mushrooms).

How old is the moss? It usually goes through a mold cycle.

Not too sure about the mushies... they may just be stragglers from the moss being harvested in the first place. Personally, i love straggler plants. Such an exciting mystery lol.

Still, someone may be able to identify wether they are bad for the frogs, or an eye pleasing bonus.

This shrooms are absolutely perfect and safe. You can also harvest them and feed them to your springtail culture.
