Neil/Togue Flicker summed up the future of your succulent. No matter how big your tank is or the caves or dens you put in the center of the tank the scorpion will seek out the corners, particularly at night. They dig in the corners for various reasons, one of them being that this area, once excavated, represents conditions found in a burrow. They may also be trying to get to optimal temperatures or moisture.
I have mostly kept and bred African desert species and they all dig in the corner. Some of my Androctonus australis have actually moved large rocks by digging around them to get to the bottom of the aquarium corner.
