    I like this shot a lot. You can really see those skin bumps. I believe the bumps are a result of increased surface area, which allows for better hydration from the burrowed substrate.Name:  DSC02906.jpg

    Who doesn't apprecieate a good frog moon!!!

    She looks great. I believe your theory about their skin bumps is correct. They also act as a form of armor and to grip the inside walls of their burrow so that when inflated it makes them difficult to remove from it. This way its not easy for predators to just pull them out.

    Their skin is also quite tough for how sensitive it is.
