Why do you not directly mist a Pac Man frog?

It's not generally recommended. While in some places they have strict rules on what is considered spring water, I believe in the US (some states may have stricter or lighter regulations) manufactures are not forced to label any treatment done to the water on the bottle itself. For instance here in California they have to state where the water source is located and they have to show quality testing reports, this is generally done by putting a phone number or a website address on the bottle. It's recommended to use treated tap water because YOU will know with 100% certainty that the water your supplying your amphibians with is safe.
