According to their webpage the original Neosporin has those 3 ingredients. Not sure what you mean by "normal" and "triple antibiotic." Their website just calls one "Original" and that's the one without pain killers and thus safe.

You can use that. Bactine actually is a little better, but Neosporin will work well. You are going to have to bathe him daily to clean the wound and apply the ointment also to make matters worse he will have to be housed on moist paper towels as substrate to keep debris and dirt out of the wound. This is a necessary action that must be taken. Keep feeding him and if the wound doesn't show signs of healing within a few days you may need to seek a Vets assistance for a better antibiotic ointments and possibly oral or injection antibiotics.

His leg is healing very nicely, I can hardly tell the cut is even there anymore. It's a good thing he's a fairly mellow guy, otherwise I probably would've lost a finger by now!
