Sweet! I have a big long list of frogs that I want. Cornuta, Caatinga, Ornate, and a male african bull frog. Gonna be real hard convincing the wife. She might warm up one day.

hahahaha Lija!!! Can you please tell me more about Ornates? They sound interesting. Is ruby an ornate? I heard they can have great appettite and are not really picky eaters, but are they also nocturnal? Anything else I should know about these? My baby is either a cranwelli or ornate, but all the research I've done has been mainly about cranwellis, so I wonder if ornates are the same thing. I'm not sure yet but will post a pic asap to show you guys![]()
no they are different species, different appearances, different size for majority - ornates grew bigger, although it depends on genetics, food intake, etc... same care requirements with the exception 12x12 footprint will be just fine for adult male cranwelli, but for ornate you wanna get 18x18 ready, females are bigger in all pacman species, both species are nocturnal, but ornates will eat any time of a day and will go for anything moving, Ruby loved to hunt my fingers through the glass when she was younger, now i just try to keep her belly full, i don't really want to repeat her flight across 18x18 tank for my fingers. cranwelli are more picky in a way, majority would eat only at night.
Ruby and Emis both ornates.
there are no much color variations for ornates, but for cranwelli you can get full rainbow and then some more![]()
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Thank you Lija! After inspecting my baby, I thought he/she was a cranwelli but it seems to be an ornata (after doing all this research). For sure it's not a fantasy. Remember how I thought he was all brown? It's because the froggy was covered in substrate and I guess it got dirty? After he hopped in the water, it rinsed and he's a light green with some black spots all over his body hahahha! (remember how I was telling how I was already planning to get a second frog because I did not know so many colors existed?) so I'm a happier frogger nowHopefully he doesn't get much darker as he grows because he's got a nice color.
By any chance do you know if this is the same case for pyxies? I find them interesting too, but I don't want to end up getting one and find out there are "cooler" looking ones later lol.
there will be always cooler looking ones, no matter what you get now lol that is a name of the gamedid you post pic in your thread, will go look.
