That's odd- really warm? Are you sure you thermometer is right? Maybe use a back -up thermometer?
Stick a glass aquarium thermometer in the substrate? $3.00 at a pet shop.

Run a fan - pointed toward the front vents and see what happens?

It's a good idea to change the lights out.
I use standard base plant bulbs in the winter ( which give off a little heat) and LED as the weather gets warmer.

My exos have the screens pulled ( replaced w/ glass ) and no other ventilation beside the plug/cord slots and the front vents.
They are in my basement. I have never seen a the temp > 80F. If it's looks like they might go above > 78 I simply run an oscillating fan ,suspended from the ceiling, pointed toward the front vents. Works like a charm.

But - my tanks are in my basement - so it really doesn't matter what things look like. It's just us,the frogs, and the cats.
