I use de-chlorinated for spraying the plants- if I have to , and distilled for the glass.
I use a little 5" shower squeegee-- works great. ( one for each tank )

The only reason I'm aware of for using reverse osmosis water or distilled water over dechlorinated spring water is that it's less likely to leave water spots on the tank. Spring water has trace minerals and doesn't leave spots on clean glass. Distilled is cheaper I have noticed. I use spring water with great success.
