Its okay to mix different types of frogs to a extent.
For example I mix White's tree frog with the Dumpy tree frog since they are pretty much the same just different colors.
Another example is you can mix red eye tree frog with the clown tree frog or a small green tree frog. as long as niether of them were caught from the wild so they can pass disease to eachother.
Just make sure any frogs you are mixing come from the same family and not bigger than the other.
A poison dart frog should only stay with its own kind.

Also Red Eye's are bigger and would compete with the Clown's for food.

Welcome Shaawnhall. Yes definitely don't mix species. If you choose the Whites/Dumpy tree frog I will be sooo jealous. We cant get them here in NZ. Which ever frog you choose, you will have plenty of info/helpers on this forum. Happy shopping.

I think you mean genera and subfamily. Clown treefrogs are of the genus Dendropsophus and red-eyes, Agalychnis. On top of that, the clown is of the subfamily Hylinae, the red-eye, Phyllomedusinae. There order would be Anura, tailless amphibians, AKA frogs & toads. Their suborder is Neobatrachia or advanced frog.

They are the same species, Litoria caerulea.

An adult Agalychnis callidryas is big enough to eat an adult Dendropsophus leucophyllatus. I wouldn't mix species, even if they were from the same area, family, or even genus.
