One pupil open and the other one closed is called "Anisocorie" in french (I don't know the word in english).
This is related to a neurological problem for humans.
For reptile and amphibians they have this propertie which is not pathological (Completely normal), except if it is all the time.
This should occur when one eye is shine by the light (The right eye of your frog on the picture) and the other one has no light on it (Left eye on the picture).

That's why I asked if there was light shining in on one side and the OP said no. I assume it could be neurological, but we aren't experts nor are we Vets. Just a guess.

Unless its like that all of the time its probably just sleeping. How you could attribute that to a nutritional malady is beyond my understanding.

Neurological issues usually manifest through vitamin deficiencies.

That's interesting. What defienciency do you think would cause this?

I'm not really sure. This isn't very common. Could be Vitamin A. If their eyes work similarly to ours they may need the same type of Vitamins so it could be a lack of Beta Carotene. Problem with Vitamin A deficiency is they start to get Short Tongue Syndrome which is also caused by a lack of calcium at the same time.

I'm no expert so its hard to say. Seizures can cause the eyes to do something similar to this as well.

He does open it a little further when I wake him up, but there is still a difference. But then I sneaked up on him last night at 3 am, and both his eyes were wide open...

He is getting vitamins three times a week, should I supplement more often?
