    Just a quick update.

My frog seems very happy, thanks for the advice it's been a great help.

I haven't really noticed any poo in the viv. Now this could be because he Burris very well but it could be because he hasn't taken a dump.

He is using his water bowl to soak most nights.

Im concerned that its likely the later. He seems to have gotten quite wide very quickly and I'm wondering if this is due to not having a poo. He seems very happy still eating like a pig.
Should I be doing anything or just letting nature take its course?

If the frog is soaking and eating all should be fine, but you need to feel the frogs right side. If its hard then you may want to prepare a Luke warm de-chlorinated soak with 3 to 4 drops of honey dissolved in it. Soak for 15 minutes.

Just make the water depth no deeper than half the frogs height and while he's soaking pour some over his back and on his vent. It should help stimulate a bowel movement.

    Thanks.

I just got him out and he took great delight on peeing all over me His right hand side is a lot more pronounced than the other. It does feel harder as well. One honey and water soak needed I think.

It would have been best to wait until it was time for him to wake up for feeding to soak him. Getting him out too early causes unnecessary stress that you don't want to do.

To be fair hes always out just after 9pm

He didn't have a poo. I think I'll leave him alone for now and see how it goes. I'll give a couple of days.

Our frog Rosie went a long time before giving us her first bowel movement (2 weeks) and it took a good soaking in warm water to get her started.
She dropped 3 huge logs in a row across her tank on the way to her water dish that same night.

    Thats no problem.

How long would you normally give it before another soak. As you mentioned I don't want to stress him out and make things worse

You can do it nightly if he appears to not mind much. Just make sure you do everything to reduce stress after the soak. Offering food afterwards usually helps once he calms down.

Omg, I think I need a lumberjack to remove this thing.

Thanks for your help guys. He's finally pooped. I never realised a frog could poop so much.

If we put this to scale in human terms. I'm sure I would loose several stone if I pooped that much.

This probably sounds strange but I'm so happy that he's had a poo and back to normal.

    Thanks
