He was big, strong and handsome... Did I mention green?
I went to the Sydney Royal Easter show today and met the fourth most beautiful frog I've ever seen (Bubba, Lou and Thrall would not like me saying any frog is more handsome than they are!). He was a Magnificent Green Tree frog and he was magnificent not only in title but in any sense of the word!
He was so spectacular I felt like throwing my money at the poor owner and running away with him.
BEST OF ALL! She's selling me one of his sons!
Tomorrow cannot come soon enough. <3

I agree with Lynn, Be sure to post HEAPS of pictures !
They're gorgeous frogs, I remember seeing them at the VHS expo and falling in love with them, but I dont have the space for more frogs
How old is the one your getting?![]()
He's six months old but double the size of even my biggest boy Lou! He will obviously be in the quarantine tank for a while, but afterwards he gets to move into my tree frog taj mahal!
And pictures will not be an issue! I'm camera happy enough with my boys as it is!
Aw can't wait to see him!
I found these are the ones at the Expo I went too,
![]()
The little fellow I'm getting is about the size of the three in the second picture but his dad! He is huuuuuuge, far bigger than my palm and the brightest yellow and green and covered in spots. He's two and I can't wait to watch the new fellow grow!
Oh wow I can't wait to see him! He sounds wonderful
Does he have more spots than the ones I posted?
His dad is spectacular! He looks like:
Hopefully my little man grows up in his fathers footsteps!
And he does have a few more spots, maybe because he was older? They apparently take 2 years to develop all of their spots.
Oh wow his gorgeous!
Oh cool, I didnt know that![]()
Awww...It does sound like your in love!! xoxo![]()
I can barely keep myself from grinning all the time! I hardly slept I'm so excited!
Aussie only frog? BooooI want one!
Kristen, if you read this I'll smuggle you a RETF if you can snag me one of these?lol
Haha Omar whilst you're smuggling anyway, bring me one too! So cuuuute!
Only if we could. I would so totally do it. Seems like a fair exchange for one of these guys![]()

They really are stunning. The forelegs and trim around the throat and belly is SO YELLOW and I love the spots.
Best of all is the size and placid temperament, his father was sitting on his owners hand taking up her entire grip like a flattened tennis ball with his head resting on her wrist! So sweet.
You're not wrong, Australia has the best tree frogs (biased as I'm Australian) but we can't get any of the ornate pac mans or darts or anything colourful other than green and gold![]()
Ohh and Kallee, over here we call 'whites tree frogs' green tree frogs, so they're the same thingthe white lipped tree frog is a little different, bigger.
Ok thanksI thought they looked sorta like whites
