There seems to be no broken skin and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse which is good. I live in a pretty remote area and the only herp vet actually passed away a few months ago. I always went to him, now I have to drive several hours to get to one, so I am hoping this will go away on its own. I have his enclosure very simple and in a remote location where he can rest and not get stressed.
I will let you know if anything changes. Thank you so much!

He seems worse today
He has been spending his time on the bottom of the cage so I went to pick him up and it looked like there was some blood on the paper towel under his toe. The toe itself doesn't look much different.
Is there anything I should put on his toe that is safe for amphibians? I can't find any vets that see amphibians anywhere near me

Yes , if the skin is broken ---- Neosporin (WITH OUT PAIN RELIEVER)
The anesthetic in Neospirin w/ pain reliever will euthanize a frog.
