Well males will call anywhere from 5.5 to 8 months of age. A males nuptual pads don't show until the frog reaches sexual maturity which is anywhere from 8 months to a year. Females have no nuptual pads or signs of sexual maturity. If you wait a few more months we can give you an accurate gender.

Oopse lol! sorry. Exactly how big was she when you got her? If your frog is 9 to 13 months old then if she were male she would have been calling. So Id say female for sure. How big is she SVL?

She is small for a 9 to 13 month old female, but that could be for reasons of not recieveing enough nutrition as a youngster. Looks the size of an adult male. Which is 3" to 3.5" females are usually 4" to 4.5" sometimes females reach 5" or more.

not that im trying to state your wrong or dont know. its funny because shes never croaked or made any noises then today i was doing some work on my firebellys tank and i heard a weird loud (louder then a firebelly croak i hear those all the time) my son was watching cartoons so i just said eehhh must be the tv. however i was talking to my wife and she said she heard her croak yesterday, and i was like REALLY? ARE YOU SURE IT WAS HER? and she said certainly because she would be looking in her tank and dorothy was sitting in her hole with just her head out and she was croaking. im sceptic to believe it, maybe im just biased because to me she is my girl so to find out shes really a guy might not be too good for her/his sexuality lol im in noooo rush to determine sex although ill be honest im interested in hearing a croak from her. am i correct that females dont croak???

also i tried to feed her a fish while she was soaking in the critter keeper (within her tank) and she wouldnt touch the feeder fish. i ended up giving it to her when she was in her tank just sitting on the eco earth. i used the tongs. i know fish arent too good, its her first time eating one. just want to give her a wide variety of foods.

If your frog croaks its a male. Females don't croak. They can grunt/hiss/growl/ and make little pooping clicking sounds but not call. A Pacman call is unmistakable and can be VERY loud. Hers what I want you to do. Get on youtube and. Play some Pacman frog calls if Dotty is a male then he will respond to. The calls by calling back. For some reason I kept thinking Dotty was younger than that. 9 to 13 months and being that size indicates male or a stunted female.

oh that makes sense, well lets see what happens. ive had her for 4 months since january, maybe even febuary. she has doubled in size. id like to see where she is in a couple months. i know the guy at the herp store said he had her about six months because he also had a baby as well but it wasnt an albino. so i took her. now you have me worried that im doing something wrong and stunted her growth lol should i soak her more often??? her substrate is moist, and i mist two to three times a day. once before work, as soon as i get home, and before bed.

Its nothing you did or are doing. The pet store more than likely didn't provide enough nutrition when he/she was a baby. Which can stunt their growth. A 13 month old Pacman is an adult. 10 months still allows for 2 more months to have a growth spurt hit. So there is still time if he/she is male or female and is 10 months old to grow.
Even as adults though they still grow. Just at a slower rate.
