You can start feeding him/her pinky mice once every month or 2 when he/she reaches 2 1/2". Just make sure its a small pinky especially for his/her first one. What your feeding him/her now should do the job. Silkworms/Hornworms/and Nightcrawlers are very nutritious and excellent frog food.

Thank you, but I'm by far not the best. I'm pretty sure that some of the breeders like Jessica of Ivory Reptiles and Mike from Mikes Frogs are a bit more experianced than I. One of the best ways to learn is from experienced people like us and by observing your own frogs closely. You can learn a lot about your frog from its own behavior and activities. Its like studying your frogs. All you have to do is pay attention for a couple hours a day and you will notice little subtle traites that are otherwise overlooked. Plus its very enjoyable to spend time with your frogs.

Quarantine is very important with amphibians. The chytrid fungus is an epidemic among wild populations and most wholesalers don't treat for it. If you use the same tools when feeding or cleaning enclosures with sanitizing in between (We use different set of stuff all-together), then parasites & disease can be transferred. Just take precautions and all should be good. Thanks for the confidence in us Grif!!

Please also get in the habit of sanitizing your hands between handling each individual animal. Also, I have noticed that the juvenile frogs sometimes go through growth spurts and tend to look a little lean during that time......it's like puberty for frogs! Grif gave you excellent advice!
