I've heard of people feeding superworms and pinkies if the White's is large enough for it. I haven't had any luck. My White's doesn't recognize mealworms, pheonix worms, or superworms as food.

haha im glad its not just me. my two whites refuse to acknowledge mini meal worms and wax worms anymore. when i first put the wax worms in willow ate some but now they just dont bother. i tried calci grubs but thats just as bad. but yeh as said pinkies if they r big enough. im sure that u could give locusts as treats or any other bug that they will eat. so long as its not somethin they get everyday, then its a treat to them

I noticed that the worms don't move around much in the dark. I think that's the problem. Ijo doesn't want to be fed... He wants to hunt [said a la Jurassic Park].

Pheonix worms are VERY active... when its warm and bright. I tried getting them all riled up and then putting the dish in the enclosure, but my herps (all of them) take a little too long to decide they're interested in eating and by the time they get around to it, the worms have gone to sleep or something. My frogs are divas. They eat on their own time.

u can indeed. so long as they havent been near any chemicals/pestecides etc. problem is that u have to make sure they are not too big for ur frog which means cutting them up (which i personally just cannot even think about doin lol) but yes whites will eat them

When feeding my whites superworms, i crush their heads. It makes it so they cant bite my guys, an they flip around alot after. As soon as they hit the dish they are devoured

My White's gobbles mealworms even if they're not moving. Leave mealworms next to a heat source and they'll be more active, I find this works well.
