Country Of Origin: Myanmar, Thailand, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Cambodia and Viet Nam, Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra, Borneo Pontianak), Sulawesi (Makassar, Palu and Flores) and the islands of Tioman, Phuket, Langkawi and Singapore.
Information: This species is 1 of 14 species of the Kaloula genus (members of the Microhylidae family). The Malaysian Painted Bullfrog is in fact widely distributed in it's natural occurrence range and is mainly collected for both Consumption and the Pet Trade, where it is widely and commonly kept in the hobby. Even though it is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, It is starting to be classed in many countries as an invasive and pest species due to it's ability to survive in most Tropical and Sub-tropical habitat's/environments.
