Who has successfully bred smooth sided/spotted toads? If so, what conditions did you set in the tank? (Temps, number of females, semi-aquatic?)
I've never bred amphibians, but would like to see CBBs of this species in the trade, so a link to Bufo/Rhaebo breeding 101 would be awesome.
Also, what's the time scale on this process? How long until we have free-swimming tadpoles? How long until we have viable toads? How long until they mature?
And for my States-side companions, do you know of any regulations placed on the sale or transportation of this species and others like it?

Hello and welcome to FF! The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries regulates issues with wildlife sale and purchase in VA. The state enforces the Lacey Act; so any frog purchased from anywhere must have been legally collected, propagated, and/or sold according to the laws of that state. Rhaebo guttatus is not an endangered frog species, so that will help getting specimens for breeding. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Try to locate information on how they breed in the wild. Like temperatures, if it's right after heavy rainstorms etc and then try to mimic that in your enclosure. I guess large toads like these would need a pretty big enclosure to get breeding.
Do you have any guttatus right now?
