any ideas of why her leg is so big and hard? it literally feels like
what a belly full of poop feels like. Shes eating pretty good. definitely not as mean but wants food. and is in obvious discomfort from whatever this is . any ideas?
maybe a cyst? infection? Do you have any good vets near you?
If it's a tumor there's probably not much that can be done, but I'd recommend a vet visit. If it's a cyst or something they might be able to drain it... My first guess would be that it's not an infection, just because there doesn't appear to be any redness, and I doubt she'd be acting hungry or active if an infection had progressed that far. Hopefully it's something treatable
How quickly did it form?
over a few months time. I'm definitely going to look for a good exotic vet
If its hard then it very well could be either a tumor or cyst. Most cysts are full of fluid and just form on the skin rather than inside the muscle, but can form there as well. Infections would have redness like D said. You definitely need a vet soon. If it grows too large it may split the skin of the leg and you really don't want that on your hands. That. will lead to infection or worse.
Hey Bobby! How've you been? Haven't seen you on in a while.
It looks like a fluid filled sac, likely a cyst. I agree, no redness make me want to say I doubt that it's infected, though not impossible. I would have a vet do a needle aspiration with culture and biopsy, and if its fluid, drain all of the fluid. If it's solid when they try, not good...though sometimes decent amts of fluid in such a small area may feel solid.
Do you see any small spots, skin changes, or pin holes? Any drainage or seepage? It could even have started from a cricket bite, or could be a parasite. But, you tong feed, right?

I really hope she's alright..
I love that girl, good luck.
Hey Bobby, long time so see! I'm really sorry to hear about Granny, she's one of my favorite frogs on here!
I agree with Heather, I also don't think it's an infection. A cyst is possible too, but as Grif said, they're usually on the skin. Best case scenario is its a large, fluid filled cavity and can be drained. Worst case is a tumor, and hopefully it will be able to be removed safely. Either way, a vet visit is in order...
Best of luck! Please keep us posted...
