Back at the beginning of the school year my sons' teacher expressed that she would be interested in having some aquatic frogs in her aquarium rather than fish. My sons and I purchased her 3 albino frogletts. Yesterday one of my boys brought this story home along with this pic. Apparantly the biggest one decided to eat the smallest one. I went in last night hoping there was a chance to still save him as you can see he was in butt-first. When I got there the larger frog had abandoned her efforts and now the medium size frog was giving it a go. I removed the victim. He was already dead.
That is scary. They do not even look that far apart in size...
Do you know for sure the frog was alive when "eaten"? If the frog had died or was weak that would help explain the cannibalism attempt.
Did your runt ACF ever meet it's doom at the hands of your much larger female ACF?
I was so scared this was going to happen to my two guys, unfortunately my smaller frog died of bloat (a worse fate i think)...I don't know what I would have done, probably attempted rescue!! Sorry to hear about this!!
