I dust the crix with vitamins and calcium and tong feed. Can I just feed the crix cheerios ? or do I need to buy the expensive gut load?
I gut load crickets with a mix of soaked rabbit, cat and chicken (for egglaying) pellets. The chicken pellets allready contain calcium, but I'm still powdering the crickets. A lot of people only use cat food. Dog food contains too much salt I believe. You can gut load with cereals, but I'm guessing that this results in less nuticious crickets. You can allway give them leftover vegetables, but don't let it get too moist. I avoid all those expensive gut loads.

i dont like the cat food as the crix seem to leave greasy foot prints all over ! lol. I m afraid they will be able to climb the bin sides!
They get cat, fish, chiken, meal. They get fresh vegs. The left overs too.lol. They get a calcium shower at the end.
