First, you must make a semi-deep dish with water and plenty of plants to attach the eggs to. Try not to interrupt them. It may take time for them to lay the eggs or they may not lay at all sometimes.

I believe they are mating at least. They ar eon top of each other and have been for hours. They have not moved all might.

Sounds like amplexus to me! Be prepared for eggs but know that they may not come at all

do you have enough water for them both to fit in?? One of the pics you posted earlier, it only looked like there was a cup with water in, but I could be mistaken.

Yes you need a BIG water bowl with leaves to attach the possible eggs to (can't stress that enough)

Do they lay eggs right away, or do they go through pregnant stage? Okay, I will do my best. So, do you think they are mating with eggs, or without eggs?

There isn't really a "pregnant" stage. But the female might not decide to release the eggs for awhile, if at all. There is really no way to tell whether or not they are releasing eggs out of this. Just take care of them like they are releasing eggs. The toads will be making their own decisions now!

Btw, someone correct me if i'm wrong but your soil is dry. Toads love this but i know with leopard geckos you are supposed to keep a humid area to help them shed. Is this the same with toads, would a moist but not too wet area in the tank be beneficial to help them shed? Either way it's still good for you to have the soil dry

Try to keepp it moist. I mist the cage abput 5-10 times a day depending on heat and humodity.

So far they are. They moved twice. Once from onside to outside, then ack to the first place inaide. I have been reasearchong toads mating, and i am afraid none of the eggs are going to survuviv. I dont have a big enough water area for them anywhere. Sugestions? P.s. sorry about apelling. On my tablet.

You'll need a fish bowl or aquarium for the eggs to survive. For them to lay just make sure the water bowl they have now is big enough to hold them both at the same time. With a plant to attach the eggs to. Toads lay their eggs in strands unlike frogs which lay them in clutches. Wait for the toads to lay before worrying about the tadpoles.

Get them a big enough water area or let them free to find a water area and look forward to baby toads all over your yard soon. It's much easier to take a little baby into captivity than toads that size. It doesn't sound as if you have the resources to care for eggs, tadpoles and toadlets anyway. I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to help you realize what is best for the toads. Plus, it's going to start heating up soon and the toads will die trapped in that rabbit cage, unable to get to the cooling resources that they need.

I am afraid that I cannot let thwm go. There is a field next to us that the farmere is always out there doing something. All the toads we let go go right there. They will die in the fie,d. Besided, they have become accustomed to being fed. I want to let them go, but cannot. We do, however have a bucket probably a foot long and 6 inches wide. I might try to save some on the eggs. Do the toadlets need to be qith parents, or on there own until they get bigger?

Shoot. My sister wanted to see them and so I opened the cage door. They got freacked out, jumped out of the cage, and are now not together. Any chance that they will try again?
