Sorry to hear about your frog. There are two types of bloat. The first is a "hard bloat" caused by a bacterial infection. You can quarantine and treat with Maracyn II® and Maracyn Plus®, along with a salt bath. Unfortunately, this kind of bloat is generally fatal.
The second type is "whole body bloat". The frog looks like the Michelin-man. It is caused by an osmotic imbalance due mostly to improper care and maintenance. It is not necessarily fatal and can be treated by salt bath. However, there may be a secondary infection associated with either kind of bloat.
I am very concerned about the number of "bloating" cases I have heard in the past couple of years. Even though these frogs are very hardy, it is very important to maintain them properly. Take a look at the various threads on this forum for help. Good luck!
