Clean water or not?

Grif hardly ever uses his water dish. If I changed his water the night before and its sat all day and he hasn't been in the water is it safe to say that the water is still clean and doesn't need to be changed or should I change it anyway even though he hasn't used it? I always change it anyway. I'm just woundering if its ok and still clean?

Rupert doesn't ever get in his dish anymore so I sometimes don't change it for a day or two =x I know its bad but if he isn't using it there's no harm. I keep an eye on him so if he decided to move towards it I would change the water. I think if the water sits still for so long it may turn to stagnant water.

Water just sitting around will eventually become foul but you don't have to change it every 1-2 days if the frog isn't using it.

Thanks everyone. I know it becomes stagnant after a few days, but if he doesn't use it I figured it would be fine to change it every other day. I wanted to know what you all thought. Thanks again.
