Urgent question!!! Help!!!!

I was cutting my grass when I saw a toad hop out from underneath the tractor/ push mower. He looked fine but his tongue was sticking out, then he popped it back in. I then tipped him over and his skin was cut on his stomach. I am pretty sure ist just the top top layer of skin, But i can see the muscles underneath. I don't think there was any intternal damage. Is it ok if I keep him in a bucket and put neosporin on it untill it heals up? Please reply. Thank you!

I don't know the person who posted the original question, but to me it sounds like someone who is genuinely concerned about the toads welfare. They most likely came to this site for answers in hopes that someone would be on & respond quickly since it was a Sunday and most vet clinics are closed except for emergency places. I know I can't afford to pay $65 just to walk through the door for a yard toad. Cut the person some slack, he loves the amphibians, that should count for something.

1. The person asks a question on a friendly forum with people sharing their knowledge for free. He then replies almost instantly with a bad attitude. Oh, and did I mention he did not even waited 80 minutes before being rude?

2. He did get 2 good responses with alot of useful info, probably everthing he needs.

3. Of course his enthusiasm counts for something. However, likeing frogs does not mean you can be rude to people volountering to help.

Perhaps he was just sitting there worried and waiting?

The answers will come though. Sometimes you just have to be patient and remember that most of us aren't just sitting at the computer and we tend to pop in and out. Generally questions are answered quite quickly and the folks here are very helpful and educated.

But remember, sometimes animals in the wild get hurt, due to humans mostly , and we may have to let nature take it's coarse, if there are no other options. Just do what you can.
