I like to get some thing to clean out the tank of my monitor lizard. He lives in a 45 gal tall tank. the substrate is a mix of topsoil, coco fiber, magnolia, oak leaves, sphagnum, and sheet moss. It gets a mist every day so its 80% humid.

Re: springtails or isupods aka potato bugs
Id say either would do. Springtails reproduce much faster than isopods and so will impact much more while the woodlice get established but a mixture of two would be a great longterm option.
They will deal with mould, waste food etc but you would still need to spot clean the moniter waste as I would say not even custodian invertebrates would be able o completely clear the volume produced.

You can mix them? oh good. Also will they get over crowded and take over the house by escaping? will they become pest?

Re: springtails or isupods aka potato bugs
I seed all my terrestrial setups with a mixture of both when I plant the vivs and have never had a problem. I also breed vast amounts of springtails and feed large amounts of springs to my darts and never had a problem of them getting out and infesting the house.
