    Not bad! I dig it.

for my 55gal, I want to use all live plants, work in some river rock, and use some plexiglass to work in an area for water. I'm not really in a rush since he would just get lost in a tank that big right now. so we will see. The 55gal I have is kinda old, has 1983 or 87 somewhere around there stamped on it, the glass is super think, and the thing has got to be atleast 120lbs.

Wow that's pretty sweet, this setup I have right now is not long term. I think his long term tank is going to be kind of like yours; I'm going to get him a 40 gal breeder with plexiglass to separate half land half water and I'm going to try to find a heavy duty filter. Putting a couple live plants in the water and land would be pretty tight too. Petco has $1 per gallon deals till Sept 17th, although I might just wait on Craigslist for something special. Haha does the old tank have lead in it?

Yea I was at petco yesterday getting some crickets for my bearded dragons (some of them don't like the dubia) and saw the sale. It's only on there aquarium style tanks, but they did have a 40gal breeder aquarium style involved in the sale. I was very tempted, but at the moment I don't really need it. I like the idea of my 55gal for the pyxie.

The 55gal I have now I got off a guy that lives on the local air force base. I think I paid $50. He told me when I called him to bring atleast 2 guys, so i was thinking he was just a sissy or something, but then I get there and the glass is 3/4" thick, and the rim is thick too. Damn things is a beast.

its still dirty from about 2 years ago when I kept bearded dragons that I was breeding in it, but ill have to clean it up soon and post some pictures.
