I have a spare terrarium that measures 18 inches high, 12 inches wide and long, that I would like to use to house some kind of exotic animal to display. Preferably, I would like something that I can build a naturalistic set-up with, including live-plants and a cork background. Can I house a Green Tree Frog happily? If not, what other options do I have? I realise that I don't have much variety to choose from, but I do want to put something interesting in there. However, I don't want something that is going to be difficult to maintain, i.e. Dart Frogs.
green tree frogs or red eyes would be perfect
Are you sure that would be enough room for one of those animals? I just want to make sure I am not going to deny them any of their needs to live a healthy life.
Also, what kind of live plants may I place inside that is safe for either of those animals?
10 gallon would be the absolute minimum for those frogs. I would most definitely not put more than 1 in at a time.

Tree frogs are nocturnal, so not very entertaining while the lights are on. You could keep 1-2 Gray Tree Frogs in there but it's very cramped for frogs that big. I would suggest you bight the bullet and get some thumbnail dart frogs. They are far easier to maintain than tree frogs once you figure them out, and they are active only during the day/light period, so you'll actually see them doing things, unlike tree frogs.
