just finished with my 30gal hex(what should i put in it?)

just finished the background on my 30 gallon hexagon tank and i wanna ask a question.well when i first got the tank i was thinking i was going to make it a pacman tank but now looking at it,that its tall and would be better for a tree frog(maybe red eye)but not sure.the tank is 18x18x18 inchs wide and 20inchs tall.here are some pics,what do you guys think?

The last file did not work, but from the other pictures, it is looking great! I have 4 gray tree frogs in my 35 gal hex tank. You could easily get a nice whites or a red eye to put in there, they would be quite happy! Mix in a few branches, and it'd be a great tree frog home

I agree with Amy, that tank would be great for a White's or a Red Eye, or actually any other kind of tree frog you'd like. Just remember you can't fill it full with it's size, but one White's or two Red Eyes would do very nicely in there. Good job!

Two White's may eventually outgrow an enclosure of that size, since they grow to be quite large, 4-6" SV length. But a pair of Red Eyes would do nicely in a 20 gallon as long as it was planted well, Looks like you're already planning to get a lot of foliage with all those pots, so as long as you fill them and the substrate with plants you'll be fine with 2 small to medium sized frogs or one large one. The idea for White's is 20 gallons for the first frog and add ten gallons for every frog after that, I think most other medium sized frogs is 10 gallons per frog.

Oh, and some places you can find Red Eyes for quite cheap, $20-$25 as babies.

I think one whites would do okay in there since it is a 30 gal tank. You just have to make sure you have some hardy plants in there, even my gray tree frogs (which are much smaller than whites) have destroyed a few of my more sensitive plants (like the ficus!)

Oh my gosh, why I was thinking this was a 20 gallon build is beyond me.

Griffin, 30 gallons would be fine for two White's, excuse my mistake. XD; And yes Amy's right about the strong plants, you just have to do some picking if you want to put White's in there and make sure you have some strong leaves.

hey guys,kind of a stupid question but i went out yesterday and bought some plants for the 30 hex.i finally found a brom small enough to put in my tank but this brom has thorns on the edge of its leaves.now obviously it could harm the frogs but would it be a issue of the frogs getting poked or snagged on the thorns? hopefully not i really like the look of the this brom

it is going on the background in a pot that does have drainage,so yes.just need to know if it is a safety issue for the frogs
