Ok if there anyway to possibly clean live plants for a vivarium?
One method i have heard is to put it in a tank and put a large piece of dry ice in water then restrict the ventilation. You are supposed to keep this going for about 2 days. The idea is that the plants can survive the high Co2 levels but no oxygen will kill of parasites and the like. The problem is its hard for me to get dry ice because i am to young.
Any views on this method? Any other methods?
Jen (adawinters) mentioned something about this in one of her posts.

Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!
The dry ice wont kill the plants if you do it right. You just cant let the plants touch the dry ice.
Some plants, especially tropicals, suffer from CO2 poisoning and die off. Plus, dry ice is a pain to work with.

5% bleach is commonly recommended - soak for 5 minutes or so. Beware that some plants will die because of this.
