I'm currently using paper towels in my tank but would really like to use soil instead as I'd like to place real plants in with my frogs. What soil would be best to use? Could I buy a bag of potting compost? I wouldn't use soil from my garden as it's full of small stones, broken glass etc. Also, what plants would suit a humid habitat, and are also suitable for White's to climb?![]()
I'm not great on the plants but there is a great thread elsewhere in this forum about terrarium plants - do a search.
About the soil, as long as there are no artificial additives (and preferably no fertiliser, natural or artificial) then you're good to go. Of course, you could just use coconut fibre like most folks - I do. It's cheap and doesn't contain any nasty things for frogs to accidentally swallow.

If you do buy soil make sure it doesn't have the white Styrofoam pieces in it. Also try to buy All Organic (better for your frogs)
