the piece of driftwood I got from the petstore has mold or mildew on it... its blue or green and growing... is there a way to stop it? is it bad for the frogs... what type of stick can I put in there for them to climb on... the humidity level is about 80%... the plant looks great... the frogs look great... they are eating everything that moves... and good looking poops... so what about the tree to climb on.... ?
If it's a brand new set up and it's a more naturalistic setting then this is pretty normal in my experience. It shouldn't hurt your frogs. The mold should go away on its own eventually once everything sets in.
brand new... 1 week old... organic top soil... peatmoss... some indoor plant like a hostis... and the piece of drift wood as a dead tree... and large water dish.
Ventilation and light will get rid of it slowly but surely.
